Workshop 1-8 (all published issues)

Key publication from the radical Workshop Photography School founded by Daido in 1974, and co founded by Tomatsu, Araki, Hosoe, Fukase and Noriaki Yokosuka. The school was very small and each photographer taught for one day a week with emphasis on one to one tutoring. Alumni included Keizo Kitajima, Seiji Kurata (his work that later became Flash Up is in issue 8, along with work unpublished elsewhere), Osamu Takizawa and others. The newspaper was initially issued on a subscription only basis until issue 5, where it was published and sold as a magazine until the school closed in 1976. Each issue of Workshop was edited by a founder member, with sections by each in every issue, along with work created with and by the students. Overally it's a brilliant document of the development of post provoke photography. After the dissolution of the school former students Keizo Kitajima and Seiji Kurata, along with Daido Moriyama founded CAMP gallery which continued until the early 80s .
