Really nice lookbook in the format of a flipbook, with of course, the looks, and drawings by Marika Thunder, Rita Ackerman, Lizzie Bogatos, Benjamin Cho, Dan Colen, Matt Damhave, Amy Gartrel, Lily Ludlow, and Spencer Sweeney. An excellent presentation.

Mary Quant's London

Slim, elegantly designed volume issued at the time of the Quant dress exhibition at Kensington Palace. Lots of great pictures, some unpublished elsewhere.

Carlo Mollino: Photographs 1956-1962

Great book of previously unpublished private photographs by celebrated architect and designer Carlo Mollino. Mainly hostesses procured by a friend, it is an amazing book of intimate nudes. Mollino worked very much with the process and re-touched and/or partially coloured all of the photographs by hand. A beautiful work by an extremely interesting character.

Tom Wood - Looking for Love

Truly amazing first book from award winning photographer Tom Wood, who together with Parr and Graham represented the first generation of British fine art colour photography. Shot from 1982-1985 at the Chelsea Reach nightclub, Liverpool. Incredible, intimate and touching portrait of youth in the early eighties. Amazing images.

28 Girls by Kishin Shinoyama

Considered to be one of the most important Japanese photobooks of the 20th Century. Very 60's and very amazing first book by the master of the nude. With text by Yukio Mishima and Makato Wada. Scarce in such a fine condition. Packed with really superb images, brilliant composition and colour that set a new form and standard for the nude.

Juergen Teller - Go Sees

From May 1998 to May 1999 Teller photographed every model who turned up for casting on his West London doorstep. The result is over 400 portraits in different lights and seasons. Some famous (Devon, Gisele, Sophie Dahl, Eva Herzigova, Erin O'Connor etc.) but many now obscure, this is an interesting snapshot of a time and a charming project in itself.

Shuni Okura - Emma (Private 2)

A classic and one of the greats. Number 2 in the private series (all of which are highly sought after), shot by Okura, featuring soopermodel Emma Sugimoto!

Phototheque imaginaire de Shuji Terayama, Les Gens de la Famille Chien Dieu

Quite extraordinary photomontage by cult artist/poet/film maker and anarchist Shuji Terayama. Amazing images from the man who brough us the bizarre, brilliant and frankly disturbing 'Emperor Tomato Ketchup', theres no other book quite like it. From Bertolotti's Book of Nudes- "The photographs were reproduced in the manner of an old souvenir album…'as framed photos of staged portraits and' fake period postcards, with addresses and stamps in their proper place, and they were accompanied by a series of poems and handwritten annotations that emphasized the artist's intention of mixing expressive language with sophisticated photomontages."

Irina Ionesco - The Best Nudes vol.3

One of the most sought after of 'The Best Nudes' series. Filled with lots of rare work by Ionesco, including previously unpublished Eva. This is not to overlook the work also included by Karin Szekessy, which is also excellent. Essential for Ionesco fans.

Veronique Branquinho - Moi Veronique TouTeNUe

Lovely book published to coincide with her exhibition at Momu. Showing her influences very clearly, Branquihno starts with David Hamilton, Tim Burton and Lynch and ends up with quite magical androgynous, formal and noir-ish collections. Excellent.

6+ Antwerp Fashion

Brilliant introduction to the phenomena of the 'Antwerp Six' and the Antwerp school. Focusing mainly on the six themselves (Walter Van Beirendonck, Ann Demeulemeester, Dries Van Noten, Dirk Van Saene, Dirk Bikkembergs and Marina Yee) and of course Martin Margiela (of whom the plus sign in the title refers to), the book begins with their formal training and context to their first show in London in 1988, and their shared visions and ambitions. The book then goes on to the next generation (Branquihno, Vandervorst etc.) and other notable luminaries of the academy. Filled with photographs and stories, a fascinating insight into the processes of a generation of designers who changed fashion.

Raf Simons - The Fourth Sex

Really great and hugely exhaustive tome on teenagers, or 'The Fourth Sex'. Superb Contributions from a huge number of guests (Dead or Alive) including Cocteau, Lynch, Nabokov, J.G. Ballard, David Bowie, Larry Clark, Rudi Gernreich, Bernhard Willhelm etc. Chocked with so many superb images collected by Simons and Bonami. Rather like a huge visual research project, and very Simons-y. Texts are also notably good. A great book.

Seminal book on Bay Area hippie couture and folk craft. Far superior to any style file/sourcebook. Custom denim, embroidery, patchwork, quilting, Pristine Condition out of The Cockettes and lots of other underground faces showing and modelling their own designs. Pretty amazing.

One of the more stylish (and a little odd) punk photobooks, gig shots, street shots of Toyah Wilcox, Suby Barnes, Dee Marsh etc. contrasted with african tribal make-up, piercings etc. Stemmed from her project on religion, so a little different to most punk books of the same period. Very nice.
