Helmut Newton : How to make the fur fly : December 1967

An old favourite here- one of Newton's many famous shoots, this one's from Vogue (UK) December 1967. From Vogue:

Film fans will recognize the situation: It’s Alfred Hitchcock’s crop duster from North by Northwest all over again, but this time the plane is chasing a model and not Cary Grant. “This is a photo where you can see the special relationship between June and Helmut,” says Neutres. “The plane was her idea.” Also very much in evidence is the way Newton could turn a routine fashion assignment into something much more. Explains Neutres, “He always said, ‘A good fashion photograph should look like anything but a fashion photograph.’ ”
